The ILC quilting group has been quilting for over 60 years, with new ladies taking up the sewing as others unfortunately pass on or leave. They donate locally: to homeless shelters, nursing homes, veteran homes, and men & women’s shelters and most recently to Lutheran Immigration for Ukranian refugees.
The fabric they work with are often donated by people after the death of beloved family members who sewed. The women feel, that by using those previously owned fabrics to make quilts, God is using them to carry on the legacy of the original owners of the fabrics. They know their faith and work lets them make a difference, in place of someone whose dreams had been cut short.
