The youth at Incarnation are busy building a better understanding of Community, Faith and Relationships. We believe these three elements are a good way to understand what it means to be fully Christian. They have learned the fundamentals of the Christian Faith and been led to a deeper understanding of that faith through fun yet structured lessons, events and travels. Along the way, our youth come to understand that they live in a Community of other believers that work together to advance the church and God's purpose among His people, and support each other on the road we call life. They also find that life is based on relationships; with God, with each other and the community at large. They discover that as much as they can give there is more given to them unconditionally. Long before they assume adult status in the secular world, we have confidently embraced them as fully vested members of Christ’s Church on Earth.
They meet three times a week, on average, during our Fall through Spring Program Year. During the Summer we make a great effort to tailor our Summer program to youth availability so some weeks have more activities than others. On Sundays, the children's age group's lessons and class time are structured around our worship service so they can participate in the service, listen to the sermon, sing in joy to the Lord, participate in the Eucharist and then move on to an expanded lesson and fun activities. The older youth have a full Sunday School class at 9:30 AM and participate in the full worship service.
At Incarnation, every youth activity is chaperoned by at least two adults who have successfully completed our Youth Protection Program. We care for the children in our programs with an appreciation of the world in which we live. We absolutely insist everyone involved with our youth have passed this sexual abuse prevention program as well as submit to a background check.
