Welcome to Incarnation Lutheran Church! I’ve served with the people of this congregation as senior pastor since 2003. My mother’s family is one of the oldest Dutch Fork families in the Lake Murray area. I graduated from Newberry College, the Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia, and received a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching degree from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. I served as pastor of St. Mark’s Lutheran in the Prosperity, SC, on the national staff of our denomination, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, in Chicago, and as pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran in Evanston, IL. Now, I’m having a wonderful time ministering at Incarnation.
Over the last twenty-five years of ministry, I have been a leader in Lutheran, ecumenical, and interfaith religious communities. I have a history of working with women’s issues in church and society, with issues of racial reconciliation, and with issues related to poverty and homelessness.
My husband, Frank Anderson, is the Campus Pastor at the University of South Carolina. We have a daughter and son-in-law who live near Hickory, NC, and a daughter who is a junior at Florida State University.
I look forward to meeting you on on-line or here at the corner of Devine and Sims in the near future.
