Greetings in Christ.
I serve as Incarnation’s Associate Pastor and Cantor. Since 1997, I have been an ordained minister of Word and sacrament in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America serving congregations in the midlands of South Carolina. Before coming to Columbia for seminary, my wife and I lived in the Chicago area where I trained and then worked as a full-time church musician, playing the organ, directing choirs and teaching music.
My roles at Incarnation include directing the congregation’s music ministry and serving with our youth minister as one of the staff resource people for Faith Formation ministries. As Associate Pastor, I assist our Senior Pastor, the Rev. Mary W. Anderson, in the traditional pastoral duties of preaching, teaching, worship leadership, administering the sacraments and pastoral visitation. I also support the devotional and music life of our child Development Center.
